We are doing a job that will include a standing seam metal roof. The customer is debating between a snap lock type panel vs a mechanically seamed panel, as they get a lot of wind & rain in the winter and don't want problems - ever. They also want the entire roof covered with Ice & Water Shield first. Our supplier sells Grace HT, Certainteed Winter Guard HT, Carlisle Wip-300 & Titanium PSU-30. Which one is better? Grace costs A LOT more, but is it actually that much better than Wip-300 or PSU-30? Also, do you typically put paper on top of the I&W so the metal panels never stick to the stuff - thinking future repairs or remodeling? Thanks for your help.
