I just finished my 4th house using a little known product from Arizona The Perfect Block. It is R40, uses 2/3 less concrete, Hurricane and Tornado Tested and simply will not burn. We save about $14,000 just in foundation savings. thought I would pass this on as the company needs some marketing help. the product does not.

It's basically a recycled material block.
However, it's one of the "honeycomb" blocks.
So you do NOT wind up with a solid concrete wallk. You wind up with a "weave" of concrete and the block insulation.
YES, it saves concrete.
NO, I wouldn't trust it as part of a sub-surface wall.

The R-40 is BS. If you have 10" of type 2 EPS you may get there. I looked at this product or one similar 2 years ago. It was more about selling the mobile system for production. Where does the EPS scrap come from? The manufacturing rate for the blocks was really slow. There are already similar composite blocks on the market so it's not that revolutionary .
