Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what construction method the house in this picture is likely to be? I thought it would be pretty clear cut with a google but there seems to be unending options. Is this SCIP?
I stayed in this place years ago and loved the concrete look inside and out and the sturdiness. The comfort temperature wise was perfect and more consistent throughout the day and night then I've experienced anywhere else so I'm guessing these were some type of insulated prefab panel.
Does anyone know of any websites for this type of panel so that I can get specs/dimensions so that I can start research and planning?
Are there any major downsides to this?
My details: Canada, -30C to +40C, 100-150cm snow annually, fire risk area, looking to avoid having a basement.
Thanks heaps in advance for the advice.
(I've had a read through the forum, used the search function, and looked at many various websites but without good knowledge of the topic it seems to be hard to follow what is what)
