Hello everyone, I would like to build my next home. I have started to research prefab steel kits. So a couple of questions. Does anyone have any experience and or advice? I live in Maine and I am worried about cold ghosting through the steel. Is this easily solved by rigged foam on the outside of framing?

I did this in Texas so kind of the opposite. I did closed cell foam on the interior walls, attic peak to floor, then a layer of open cell. Being up north, you would want to make sure that you get the correct thickness of closed cell. The cold metal will cool the close cell, and if it gets to the dewpoint on the inner surface you will get condensation inside from the warm air inside. Other than that, the close cell adds rigidity, seals up all the drafts etc.
