So my husband and I are looking to buy a house in Northern Michigan. Western side of the lower peninsula. The soils are well drained, the winters are long, and the snow is heavy. So this earth sheltered house looks like it could be a great choice. But how to get it properly inspected? Can a standard home inspector advise on earthen roofs effectively? How much humidity is too much when considering mold and mildew issues? https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/5125-Lakeview-Ln-Alanson-MI-49706/106346924_zpid/?utm_campaign=androidappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare

How much humidity is too much when considering mold and mildew issues?

A good rule of thumb is that 50% humidity is high enough for your comfort, but too low for theirs.
