hi ,i have couple of questions if you could help me. 1 ) i wonder is there any device that you guys recommend that can measure the solar power that i'm making during the day , the voltage i consume and how much i need to draw from domestic grid in order to work things smooth all day long ( the electrical devices shouldnt notice from the electricity comes from : grid/solar power ) 2) the other question is , is anyone tried to use a supercapacitors instead of batteries to charge and use in the solar system that he got. where can i find material on it ? thanks in advance.

Last I checked it would take $1,000,000 in ultra-capacitors to store the same 40Kwhrs that $10,000 of lead acid batteries can store. Hopefully they will become financially viable in the future. I believe some hybrid cars already use a very small bank of ultracaps (in conjunction with a conventional battery pack) to capture peak electricity generated during braking. (current battery technologies cannot charge fast enough to catch the brief burst of energy from braking).

thanks. now the question is where can i find a schematics to test it.
you see i have this senior design project about it and i need to test a single ultra power capacitor.
do you have any idea where can i find circuit schematics , to try it ?

I'm working at a supercapacitor manufacturer, VinaTech  Korea.

I'm not sure if I would be of helps, but you are to contact me at my email, [email protected]

Then, I will try to give some related data of sueprcaps(hybrid supercaps) for your solar system.

We have customers using our supercapacitors for Solar LED lights, and Flash lights, and solar mirror tracking etc.

Regards,

John Kim
