https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/01/investing/tesla-solar-panel-costs/index.html Tesla is now No. 2 in solar and apparently willing to buy market share. Quoting equipment prices online, Tesla tells me that 4kW panels plus mounting hardware in Pennsylvania will cost $7k after incentives, or $10k before the tax credit. No mention of inverter, net meter or installation.

Solar City was high when I bought my stuff in Nov....That still seems high....they need to pay for all that advertising.
I did 7k for $7,300 without mounting but you got to call around. Where are you located? I am in Michigan.
Good Luck.

Tesla just called back. Says the $10k pre-incentive price for 4kw covers everything from the panels to the meter including normal installation. The last is subject to adjustments. Gonna put a pencil on it. While $7k isn't a big number, my utility bill isn't either. The story I linked says Tesla axed its sales force and presumably whacked advertising as well.

The price I gave was for all material minus conduit, disconnect, wire, and racking.
