I have an ICF basement that we'd like to do in stucco. I called the insurance company and they said no EIFS, but yes to stucco.
So, how is stucco applied to ICF? Thanks for the help.

I do not understand how EIFS will cause any harm to ICF since there is no wood to rot in the structure.  I believe the acrylic top coat of EIFS is less likely to crack than stucco.

just use a system that is designed for ICF it is therefore not EIFS system it may be installed identically but you will have the manufacture specification sheet. I have considered gigacrete and sto has been used on some of our projects.

It's all about what you call it. Say "EIFS" and people freak out. Say "polymer modified stucco" and they should be fine. It goes right on the foam, just like EIFS. You normally place one coat with a fiberglass mesh fabric, then a top coat.
