I need to get windows for a tiny house on wheels. They need to be no or low VOC. I do not want vinyl. I was recommended Fibrex originally and was under the mistaken idea that they were fiberglass and would not off-gas. They did reek of plastic as they are half vinyl and they are not well constructed either so I am stalled on my build until I find something else. I would like all aluminum but they are impossible to find in the right sizes and operating styles I need and the framing is done so not redoing it and changing sizes and styles. All the aluminum and fiberglass clad wood are treated with pesticides and fungicides that reek and give me a headache so those are out. No company will make them without the wood treatment. I seem to have exhausted all choices for windows. I think I may be down to an all fiberglass window. This is the SDS sheet for Ultrex. How does this sound? It seems to me that polyester resin with acrylic finish, compared to vinyl off-gasses less or none. Does anyone have Marvin Integrity all Ultrex windows (not Ultrex/wood)? Assuming they don't have a lot of vinyl trim and they won't fume me out of the house, I'm wondering about the quality of these windows? I've read some reviews of the double hungs and there are some issues but I am only getting Awnings, casements and sliders, although I may want casements instead of the sliders as the sliders have vinyl tracks and one person who has the double hung windows says the tracks reek and she can't move in until if and when they stop off- gassing.

We love our inline fiberglass windows. Lower cost and great performance.

They are in Canada but I think the northern people know how to build windows for cold climates.

We live in Michigan and available windows are made for the majority of the US.

Most suffer from condensation and mold in the cold weather. The wood frames stain and don't hold up.

Good Luck....they can be made to any size.
