Hi folks, I have a Thermotech FF casement window that has a broken tie bar guide. I know they went out of business years back and they utilized Truth hardware, but I’m hoping for some more insight. Does anyone know the proper replacement guide? More importantly what is the proper method to replace the guide? For whatever reason, the tie bar guide screws come in from the outer section of the frame. I’ve never noticed any other casement window built this way. Would the proper repair include pulling out the framing sections? If so, how would be the best way to approach this? Heat gun and putty knife?

There are such great adhesives now a days form Loctite, Permatex, and many more....Can you use a adhesive/epoxy to reattach the bracket?

I have inline fiberglass and really fiberglass over wood. Good Luck.

I searched Thermotech and they had recent sales info....are they really out of business?
