Chris, Glad you were involved with this, nice work! As you know we (Panelfusion) engineered the panel shell and did the panel manufacturing drawings. |

Glad to to see this got built..Spectrum sent a set of prints to me the 1st of last year, To redesign it for SIP construction. We engneered it for red steel sub frame ,Steel SIP outer covering,internal steel framing,SIP floors, Steel roofing with Solar PV,& did the Ac loads. Bid the complete project. And they came back & said they were going with standard construction.... So we never got paid for our time,, Oh well,, Chris great looking job as always... Ralph;
It ended up with an unusual mix of materials, using wood interior framing, wood floor trusses. Not our prefered method of installation as the wood framing bearing walls and floors went in first. Our crew passed by the interior wall framers and finished 1 week before they did. |

like the use of SIPS. however, where is the daylighting for this project to reduce energy consumption for lighting? this looks like a very very minimal amount of windows. the very minimal amount of windows do also not appear very good for any kind of real cross-ventilation, what's up with that? was this designed by a professional architect? (www.ecologicalarch.com) Design was by a Design/Build GC. most newer schools around here rely on conditioned air rather than cross ventilation,with most classrooms being on just one wall does not afford the opportunity for cross ventilation Less glass also equals less energy consumption in conditioned air as the lights would probably be on any way |

Schools built in Chile using bare SIPs inside and out including interior walls ............

The contractor and architect visited our office on Friday to share ideas, their niche market is less cost thru prefinished panel inside and out and a 90 day "turnkey" completion time. |

The one in Chile looks a nice design. The one in Florida, well it looks like Church Building design has regressed significantly. |
