I am pouring concrete this week for basement floor. I am behind in learning about lighting options for new home. I want some recess, lLooking at options as to what is good (types of bulbs) and some LED rope lights for counters and any ideas for a tray ceiling? This will be a course at the 101 level for me so please bear with me and my learning curve. Also any thoughts for outdoor lighting under windows (XMAS lights) and highlighing a few shrubs? Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Have you looked at fiber optics lighting?

I have a loft area in my cottage and I am considering adding fiber optics there. Mind you this is only viable with sunlight for day lighting, but it looks really neat!

Just a thought.
