Hello everyone. I started in the ICF field 5 years ago as an installer. After a few basics I determined this was not the way to install the block. I requested a couple of manuals from the major systems (ECO BLOC and AMVIC). Then I jumped in with both feet. The first house, me and one kid. It went well but slow. 2nd house me and 3 guys my ICF crew. Of course I had to train the new guys, Each custom home was a challenge I made inovative changes that gradually reduce the building time ,not in half, but in a quarter of the time. Being construction, people come and people go, a constant training job plus the supervising of the installation and critiqing the blueprint and making changes. So after working for 2 large and 1 small contractor, and to make a long story short after supervising projects of custom homes and commercial projects with 3 to 30 guys working for peanuts  what is the next step in the ICF field. Since it seems most contractors don't know what qaulity control is or just leave it up to the supers, maybe a quality control speacialist. HELP, ANY IDEAS? WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? Just seems a shame to waste my skills. I have tons of photos during the building process even some they put in a brochure.

thanks

Clarence

GO GET YOUR OWN GC LICENSE!!! Or at least a subcontractors specialty license. In FL its the only legitimate way to be independent wthout working for someone. I know your work. It is the only way to advance.
