Thanks guys. I have found a number of products made for this, but all of them seem to come from the UK! Perhaps we won't cantilever them after all!

Details matter!

This may be a little off topic but I have read that air entrained concrete has a R of around 4 per inch. Has anyone used it in this type of situation? Seems to me that if the concrete itself is no longer a “conductor” due to entrained air you would not need a thermal break.

Can you quote a source for the R-4 per inch.  This is a surprise to me since I have used air entrained concrete.

A quick search found several references to a R-3.9 value for air-entrained concrete on the web. Hard to believe!
