I am being quoted nearly $20 CDN psf for 2,600 sq ft of above-grade wall for 8" Nudura, steel, concrete and labour for a box-shaped two-storey house. It seems high compared with numbers I have seen on this forum. Does anyone have any numbers from recent projects around here to compare?

Are you talking $ per sq ft of wall or $ per sq ft of floor?

As per convention around here, it is $ per sq ft of wall.

According to an exchange rate site that I checked, that would equate to $18.77 USD. I think there would be a lot of ICF installers here in the States that would very happily build the house you have described for that price. That being said, it all depends on what the local labor market will bear. It may be beneficial to get a second or third estimate, but be very careful when comparing estimates, that you are comparing apples to apples. Too often, one estimate or the other is missing some important items such as footings, flatwork, waste factor for the forms etc...
