This topic comes from viewing posts with video links to this site.

In particular the Liteform video shows:
"Steel coupler, Steel Clamp and Double 90 with Hoseman wearing no Hard Hat or Safety Glasses"

PLease Guys..NEVER use any placing hose with steel at the end.

Heads and Grey Matter are priceless commodities.

Actually...be firm with your Pumper and make sure he has no intention
of using a DOUBLE 90 or a STEEL REDUCER in your face !

It is actually a NO NO in the safety books and Certified Pump Operators will know better.

Here are some videos and links to safer practices :-)

**NB  Air ingress is more often caused by Ready Mix Driver allowing the pump hopper
to get too low, which causes the air to be sucked into the pumping cylinders.

Eric,
I'm with you 100%. I would really like to see us all mature some in this area. Only a very few of the ICF sites out there communicate: "We understand basic OSHA or basic safty and we know what we're doing." What do you suppose the rest communicate? Granted, they don't know or they wouldn't do it -- and that's why it's a good thing you brought it up. It would help the industry in general if each and every ICF related site would look carefully at their videos and photos and replace or delete material that inadventantly says much more than it should. Thanks for bringing it up. Regards.

Hi Tex :
There has been an ongoing dialogue among Pump Operators for several years on this topic.

Any posts or pics on Pumping sites that show any Steel in the head area of a hoseman,

are quickly called out.

Any time you have a plugged concrete pump, there is potential for hose whipping,

and as many DIY installers are new to the game ,they especially,

need to know the danger.

Thanks for the support :-)
