Greetings,
I have been messing around (unprofessionally) with some design ideas for a green house.  I am really focusing on energy efficiency of the structure itself.

That said, I am trying to find out about the structural characteristics of ICF.  Is it possible to utilize ICF to construct a double basement and two stories above that?  I am also considring a minimum of 9ft ceilings.  Ideally it would be 9, 9, 13, 9.  If possible I would like to do the entire structure in ICF or another building material with the same principle of energy efficiency.

Any comments, suggestions or inputs?
Thanks!  I look forward to some expert opinions.

Nick,
ICFs are used to build 12 story (and taller) commercial buildings, so you can certainly accomplish your project with them. Remember, ICF is just a plain old reinforced concrete wall. You just don't have to strip the forms when the concrete cures.
Your best bet is to find an architect and local builder that is experienced in ICF construction. If you're going to GC it yourself, please hire a professional ICF installer. ICF construction is not a do it yourself project. Good luck.

In general, I'm going to have to disagree with that.  Many ICF homes have been built by competent DIYers.  I've encountered no real issues building my first ICF home.
