Code requires exposed icf to be covered with 1/2" min. gyp.  However how does using the ICF connect joist hangers handle this?  I assume sheet rockers are simply just notching around all of the joists in these areas?  What about the exposed area behind the joist (i joist in this instance)?  Will they simply allow a fire caulk to the side of the combustable product?  Just curious how this detail is typically handled.

I would really be surprised if any drywaller notched each piece of drywall around every joist. Rather, they will run the top of the upper sheet to the under side and fill in with pieces of drywall between each joist.

You shouldn't have to worry about the area at the end of the joist, since the ICF connect system requires blocking in your I-joist at the ends, which will also serve as a fire barrier. The end spaces do not need to be taped and don't have to look particularly good, since they will be eventually hidden with a drywall/T-bar ceiling.

If the ceiling is covered immediately with drywall (or other suitable fire barrier), you should not have to worry about the exposed foam between the joists (I say SHOULD, since inspectors sometimes have funny ideas).
