Has anyone built a timberframe house with ICFs to the eves?  Typically timberframes use SIPs and are attached (I believe) with long screws.  I am wondering how the timbers are attached to the ICFs, or if it is necessary. Thinking of going with Riverbend TimberFrame, but the rep in my area has not done this before, he usually does ICF basements with  SIPs to the eves.  I am looking into the logixs platinum series since they have an r27 value. Also, If anyone has any experience with the logixs ICFs near the Batavia OHIO (zip 45103)area, I would love to talk to you!  Any help would be greatly appreciatied!  BTW- this is an awesome forum, hopefully i will be able to contribute more in the future when my project gets started.

What do you intend to apply to the outside of the structure for weather protection? Siding or what?

Use a 4" icf you don't need the extra concrete for strucural purposes. Pour with Helix fiber and a high range water reducer it should be easy
