Nice article. Here's a link to the quad-lock diagram mentioned in the article.

They didn't mention heating. Using radiant heating for the pool would work well for those that already use radiant floors.

Question. I have a design where an interior pool wall extends upwards into an exterior wall but I'm hesitant to do it that way, and just have separate exterior wall with inner pool walls. One concern I had with one wall is there is nothing to grab onto, but I can add a transition to form a small ledge (to grab onto for safety while in the pool). Another concern was having both lateral and vertical loads, but the pool water will push against the ground, so the lateral load should balance out well. My last concern is that a leak could compromise the concrete (weaken it?), the exterior finish or perhaps even interior finish if the concrete transfers the moisture. Thoughts?
