Planning to build a new house so appreciate advice on ICMU when compared to ICF, which is better and why? Some links from the manufacturers say the reasons but wondering if anyone has real-life experience they would like to share. https://grandblanccementproducts.com/korfil-hir-cmu/. https://ajandris.com/products/insulated-cmu/ https://www.omniblock.com/

ICFs are usually a better way to go with better flexibility, availability and insulation. If you wanted the split face look on one or both sides, maybe the ICMU would be worth considering.

ICF walls are typically twice the strength of CMU.
ICMU is very labor intensive.
ICMU requires quite a bit of masonry experience to do it well. ICF's on the other hand are quite a bit easier to install.
Omniblock for example has a massive amount of thermal bridging. So does the Ajandris one you have listed above.
There are some CMU blocks with insulations glued to outside of it with no thermal bridging. But again this is just CMU.
