I have a customer that plans on pouring footings first thing and then setting his pre-assembled frost walls and pouring them same day. Does anyone see a problem with this? The inspector says the footings need to be 24 hours old. Any documentation, for or against?

We have for 17 years poured footings and walls in the same pour. A lot of building inspectors said we couldn't do it, so I now have an engineer that provides an addendum to any foundation blue print and that stops all discussion. Your situation is even easier with you putting the frost wall on the footings that were just poured. By the time you make the second pour the footings will be pretty well set. The BI has nothing to be scared about. Doing that with standard forms is a problem because of weight, but not with icfs.
