I attempted to do a search on the topic, but I get failures while doing it so I'm, hopefully, going to ask a simple question.

I'm building an addition using ICF and it will be attached to an existing ICF wall. I will be using floor trusses and one end will be hung on the existing ICF wall. So, I see 5 options for doing this.
1) Remove foam and attach brackets to hang floor trusses.
2) Remove foam and attach 2x12 ledger board
3) Remove foam where anchor bolts will be located and provide blocking that anchor bolt will go through to provide shear protection.
4) Don't remove foam and attach 2x12 ledger board. Foam providing shear protection.

5) Maine Deck Brackets

Not sure I can do #4.

Any other options?
Pros/Cons to each?

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Clearco fasteners carries the Burmon joist hangers that you cast into the icf wall when you pour. Simple and quick. I guess it would be a no. 4 on your list. They're what I use.

Sorry, I may not have been clear. I'm looking for best options for hanging my floor trusses to an existing ICF wall.
Hopefully my attachment works. The left side of the floor truss will be hung against an existing ICF wall and the right side will be hung on a 2x12 ledger.

One option is to remove the insulation and use wedge anchors, or epoxy set threaded rod, to attach your ledger. You would have to do some load calculations.

Confessions of an icf installer. We put 5'8" fire code under the band joist and screwed the band joist to the icf web with no. 8 screws. The Buildblock web has the 175 lb. pullout sweet spot, so we had 16 screws per block. The rest of the wall got 1/2 " drywall.

DO NOT EXCAVATE FOAM!!!!!!

ok so this is a trade secret, dont tell anyone ok? you take 3" pipe stock heavy duty 1/4" cut it the same thickness of your foam, trace your ledger board on the wall then every 16"(or as many as you cut or like, minimum) imbed one of your 3" cut pipe stock so its against the concrete and flush with the foam(do not excavate foam), the pipes do not have to be placed where the botls will be anchored, but if youre good with a tape measure you will figure it out. so now your ledger board is against the the pipe stock that is up agaisnt the concrete, hopefully that makes sense.

Add attach with wedge bolts or epoxied threaded rod?

Or just put screws into every web?

I'm leaning toward using a Simpson Strong-Tie HU44 hanger. Only need 15 of them and relatively inexpensive.
