I have read so many posts and I am very confused why there is not a recipe for a standard concrete mix that just works in ICF?

There is...ICF mix is frequently used everywhere these days. Just ask your local concrete supplier what they use.

The mixes used in ICF construction are somewhat standard. Any ready mix supplier should have a standard mix for ICF's. It can vary depending on width of block and rebar schedule. We use a 3500 lb mix with pea stone. The only thing different about our mix is that we go to a 30% fly ash mix. It makes the mix flow better as well as giving you a stronger final set. With a stiff rebar schedule, we might use a mid range water reducer. If we pour in hot weather, we might use a delay set additive especially if we pour the floor at the same time.

Thank you both for the replies! What are your thoughts on adding helix as a replacement for the rebar schedule?

Helix is a great product , but I only use it in 4" above grade walls and floor pours. The reason was discussed in the thread "Below Grade Walls"

I agree with Smartwall. We have used helix in addition to 5000 psi concrete to construct ICF buildings to meet higher seismic levels. You will still always need rebar for lintels and we still used rebar for horizontal and vertical. Not all structural engineers will design with helix. Not all concrete pump companies will pump helix. Best to have some supervision when adding and mixing the helix.
