Just wrapping my head around ICF construction, I'm interested in building a single story home, 50'x26' with a shed roof. I originally thought I'd go with a monolithic slab foundation but with the price of concrete here on the east coast of Canada I was thinking instead to build on footings with 3' crawl space basement unfinished, with gravel base to cut cost. Just wondering any thoughts on this as I couldn't find many builds done this way, I'm thinking the price of wood joists and flooring would be more cost effective than a slab. Any help would be great

I would go with joist....makes adding things to house easier(HVAC, electrical, plumbing, insulation, moisture control)
