I've found a pretty good diagram on a favorite website: http://www.toolbase.org/TechInventory/TechCAD.aspx?ContentDetailID=975.

Haven't worked with Steel Frame.

Wish I could be of more help  -

e no,

When you refer to steel frame SIPS, are you talking about steel framing for the joists, trusses, and interior walls? I have seen one SIPS system that is PUR in the center and steel sheet on the either side; that is made by ACTech. Just trying to keep up with the terminology. Thanks

No , I am talking about painted galvalume steel skin SIPs with an EPS foam core usually 4" on walls and 6" + on roofs depending on your insulation requirements. Joints are male/female friction fit with no splines required. The base and pitched track is 18 ga. steel.
we then do the interior studs with light ga. steel framing
and any two story floor systems are hung off the interior of the skin using steel "Trade Ready" joist system and a 3/4" t&g plywood glued and fastened.
Ridge beams are done with 4" x 12" steel box beams, fabricated on the job.

We end up with a very termite resistive structure, we build through out Florida and can exceed any hurricane requirements

If you wanted to see details I can e mail a set in PDF
