Interested in any feedback out there on field experience with cam locks. Are the tolerances on the OSB and placement of the cam inside the panel such that everything "fits" without trimming the OSB, or a gap at the edges of the OSB? Is the gap in the foam for the cam lock mechanisms a potential spot for condensation? Thanks.

Paramount,
Although I don’t have any personal experience with cam-locks, but have assembled standard SIP buildings, I have reservations about them. The biggest problem I see is everything has to be perfect, from the foundation to the cut size of the panels. And I would think modifying the panels on-site would be very difficult. While the cam-lock is a neat little gadget, is it worth the extra cost or seal better than an insulated spline? Most of the time, keeping it simple is the best way to go.

Please ignore.  I accidently hit the submit twice, and I'm not sure how to delete a post.
