Article just came out Today in The "Journal of Light Construction"SIP Construction In Haiti.
June 2012

2012 October in a second trip to Haiti this week to to additional trainng near Carrefour, where we installed this small 400 sq. ft. home with SIP walls, SIP interior partitions and SIP roof, with 4 men in 19 hours including hang the interior and exterior doors, slab was already done "by others" 6" out of square and 4" out of level, but system was very forgiving.

Latest photos from 2nd house built 10/9/12

Nice to see SIPs being used down in Haiti.
Sadly it also pointed out why Haiti is such a failure, slab being out of square and level. What will it take for the Haitians and others in the third world to learn to do thing according to requirements and plans?

Fergie,
In all fairness those things happen in the US as well, it is a cultural thing and not the reason why Haiti is a failure, the problem in Haiti is mass corruption. Places like Cite' Soleil, where gang crime is so bad , even the UN troops don't go in.
It is hell on earth!

my buddy puts on a big conference in Miami Beach in April, focusing a lot on countries such as Haiti, most of the movers/shakers NGO's are there. Would be a great way for interested suppliers/builders to make connections.
