I have SIP sliding doors. The SIPs have 3.5" of eps covered with 8mm of Magnum Board MgO. There is 2x4 perimeter, but I would like to put a handle where there is no wood, how can I connect it? Is there there an expanding anchor or something that will be somewhat strong?

The only thing that might work is thru bolting with a metal back plate

I use molly bolts to attach things to my MgO board. You can buy them at Lowes.
