I am planning on building a new home in southern MN on a fpsf. I am considering steel sips for the envelope but am wondering who makes steel sips up in this part of the woods and if there are any fellow Minnesotans who own steel sip homes and can speak to their performance in this climate.

I have been in the steel SIP business for 20 years and don't know of any in you area all the major players are near Atlanta

The nearest SIP company that produces steel skin/polyurethane cores that I know about is in Somerset, KY.  See http://www.leepinc.com/   External utility chases built within SIP.  Internal chases or furring out not needed with this SIP.  External chases can be covered with matching metal if metal skins are to be left exposed.
