I am thinking about building a SIP home in Colorado. I am looking at an area with a 35lb snow load. I remember reading that you don't need a ridge beam if you plan to use a 12/12 pitch. I am wondering if I can use 8 X 24 panels and build an open floor plan. Can I span the whole panel with insulated splines or will I have to use engineered beams for splines? I plan on using a 4' pony wall so that I can utilize most of the space under the roof. Thanks
