Sooooo- it took how many visits for these guys to figure out tension makes for bad joints?

So, to close this thread, the contractor tried to relieve the stresses on the pipes, but the leaks continued. He then replaced all the compression fittings, and it still leaked. Upon further consultation with Rehau, it was discovered that the contractor was over tightening the compression fittings and using dope. A third contractor was brought in. He moved the entire manifold to where the loops came in perfectly straight, replaced all the compression fittings again, removed some galvanized fittings from the original installation, upgraded the pipes from the manifold to the flow center from 1" to 1.25", and removed some tight right angle pipe fittings.

Final result, no leaks detected after several weeks.

All this grief traced back to a piping schedule that 1st year apprentices know is a bad idea. My mantra is " make the old navy guys proud " when it comes to the piping.
