The LockBloc my supplier stocks costs about $1 per block, if we follow the Logix advice to use it in the second wall course and then again every four to five courses thereafter.  That's about $9 per 12-foot section.  We'll use two layers of it in a 7-course wall.

Do the math and you get about $500 in cost for a "typical" foundation of 500 blocks.

I cannot say yet whether the value will be there, in doing the first small foundation we are planning, but we had better use it to stay on the safe side of the manufacturer's formbuilding advice.

Gene,

You may want to recheck with your supplier. We use two rows on a typical 8' or 9'4" basement. The retail price to us is $0.45 a foot. With 250 lineal feet of wall that would be around $225.00. If they are charging beyond that you can look at companies like Wire-Bond and such and look for a local distributor of their 2 wire trusses.

Including sales tax, my cost is $9.01 per 12'-6" lineal, which works out to $0.72 per foot.  I have no where else to go for this product, as my market is very small.  My block cost is probably outrageous as compared to yours, also.  Tax included, mine run me $20.54 each.

We are a labor only ICF installation company.  Six inch on center web, fixed forms maximize our profits and achieved finished product.

Simply put, we obtain straighter walls, faster.

Business is booming.

Form loc etc. is for the ICF museum shelf and may be a  hazard for consolidation when in the hands of DIY'ers.
