My wife and I are planning a 2200-2500 square foot ranch with walkout basement. I have followed ya'll for some time, but as luck would have it, ICF construction here in Northeastern/north central PA is not as brisk as in some other parts of the country.
I was able to backtrack, from the pump truck, to someone the owner recommended, then to his Nudura rep. However, the general contractor who is designing and will complete the woodwork, outsource contract work, such as plumbing and electrical has no experience with ICF. Furthermore, the nudura installers have only done 6 in 4 years, and those where mostly basements, not whole houses.
I met with the nudura rep, and he said he would be happy to meet with my GC and designer. The rep also stated he would be on site over seeing the placement and pouring, but no oversite on the first floor and so on.
So, what do ya'll think? Does it sound like it could be done? What would be the greatest concerns?
Thanks
