Hi everyone, I am involved in large scale energy projects around the country. A new type of project I am working on involves a very large scale Geothermal scope of work. I am looking for thoughts and feedback on this project and maybe some help putting together general pricing for the trench/piping of a system this scale. We are putting closed loop geothermal on 40 acres of land, requiring 1,400 tons of capacity. We originally think we would like to do horizontal trenching, but not sure we have the space. Considering doing double piping vertically but not sure if the heat dissipation is negatively impacted by this. Really looking for ideas on fitting the loops needed on the available land and any idea on costing the trenching and pipe laying side of things. This would be on properties all around North America, so I can't focus on soil type or specific heat maps. We are figuring 6'-10' depths.
