Hi folks!
I live in Ottawa, Canada, and have scheduled a viewing for a 2 story rental townhouse with a geothermal heat pump. I really love the idea of geothermal, but the not-for-profit housing corporation that owns the building told me that electricity bills are $350-$400 CAD per month on average, in part because of the fan that is needed to circulate the hot/cool air from the heat pump around the house.
I'm just curious if anyone has an explanation of why the electricity costs are so high? Is this normal?
Thanks
