I will use Roxul in walls and ceiling.
I've read it cuts termites in half so they avoid it like plague. Dunno about the carpenter ants.

Perhaps foam with Roxul placed against it as a barrier. A costly barrier.
Do you know how deep those bugs dig?

Maybe only insulate the slab/floor indoors

Is there anything wrong with using 2 layers of R15 Roxul stone wool between the framing with out any other form of insulation

On a 10" high pole barn wall that should give me R=25.63 if my calculations are correct.

(2x8 = R9.17, 7.5% framing)
