Finally poured my ICF walls a couple of weeks ago, which went fairly uneventful. Waiting for the roof to get installed now. Trying to get organized for drywalling down the road. My Logix rep recommended tacking the drywall on with 4 - 6 screws and LP300 to bond it to the ICF. Is this normal practise? I can't help think that your walls would end up being wavy, as it should be sucked in where the screws are and not-so-much, where only the glue holds. I thought screwing every second web (16") horizontally and about the same vertically should be sufficient for the walls without having to glue, thoughts? I guess the bonus of not installing all the screws, is it saves work down the road when mudding. Thanks, Greg |

I'm a DIY, so not expert, but I did mine the way you describe on a 16 inch grid. Did use some glue on the wrap into the openings. I'm not sure you would save any time, the glue takes time to apply, and filling the screw heads is almost no work. |

Just hang the drywall in the normal manner, the same as you would on your interior stud walls. (Screws 16" oc) Have done it this way for several years, with excellent results. |
