Thought some people new to sips would benefeit from these videos. Each 5-7 minute segment is on one specific aspect of sips. Search "graphica54" with no space on youtubes search bar. The wiring one was very good at showing wha had been confusing to me. Hope these help. Let me know what ya think. michael

Noticed those a few months ago. Even commented on the "How to prepare wiring and electrical in Insulspan SIPs" regarding the fact that bending romex like that was against the NEC.

Do you mean the end that he bent over so it could be threaded through the chase?

Yes, he folded it over to get it through the hole at about 6 minutes into the video. I believe both the NEC and the cable manufacturer has strict guidelines on that.

I suspect that the bent ends of the wire will be cut off and discarded.
At least, every electrician I have worked with does. It is too hard to work with when making up switches and receptacles.

It was not the folded-over ends, but rather the tight fold in the middle of the run I was referring to. He pulled the required length into the hole at the corner, then fed it back into the same hole to the other wall chase. In pulling the loop back into the hole it bent the wires into a very tight loop. I believe most manufacturers call for a bending radius (not diameter) of 4 to 6 times the cable diameter to ensure the wires are not damaged. 12/2 romex is what, .4-.5" diameter? That gives a bending radius of almost 2", or a diameter (as this is a loop) of 4".
